About the Owner John Burdine Jr.
Founded by John Burdine Jr, an Ames native and ISU alum, Mr.ProActive spun out of the world’s most awesome gutter cleaning, deck staining and soft washing company, Pressure Point Cleaners. John also started (and runs) such world changing endeavors as Durable Coatings (Garage Floor Coating) and eBike Iowa (super fun and fast electric bikes)! If you’re wondering how he has time for all that…the truth is he doesn’t, at least not on his own. John is surrounded by a truly special group of friends (family really) that share his values and make this group of companies the “Best Place to Work in the Universe” (according to internal polls). John is married to Ames native Neva (used to be Hibbing) and they have one incredible 8ish year old daughter who can be found building forts at the bike shop. She would want you to know about their cat, Patmos. John’s interests and hobbies include slow pitch softball, riding fat tire eBikes, participating in Mud Runs, and fellowshipping at Stonebrook Church.
