    Service Scope 

    • Dryer Vent Cleaning, including the transition hose, duct within the dryer, lint trap and exhaust when safely accessible. 

    • Pre-Cleaning & Post-Cleaning test for air flow at duct exhaust point (only if it is safely accessible). 

    • Inspection of transition hose for seal and appropriate length. 

    • The Following Additional Safety Tests are included in the Pit Stop Package, only when this disclaimer is signed by the client. 

    • Electrical: GFCI testing in kitchen, bathrooms, garage, and exterior outlets. Presence and function of CO alarms. Visual inspection for safe use of circuit loads and extension cords. 

    • Fire Safety: Smoke detector testing, fire extinguisher inspection, fire escape inspection.

    • Garage: Door auto-reverse inspection, storage of combustible, adequate lighting and chemicals, presence of a CO alarm. 

    • Kitchen: GFCI testing, kitchen exhaust vent screen inspection.

    The following is beyond the scope of this service agreement: 

    • Our service does not include handling of personal belongings on top of or in front of the dryer unit. 

    • Our service does not include repair or troubleshooting of the dryer appliance itself, or its adequacy at drying or its remaining service life. 

    • Our service does not include extending, installing, or repairing dryer ducts. 

    • We may investigate the path of a dryer duct in an attic but the disassembly, reassembly, or repositioning of duct work is beyond the scope of this agreement. 

    • Retrieving belongings, tools, critter/bird nests, or other foreign objects other than lint, while sometimes feasible with our tool set, is not guaranteed. 

     

    Partial List of Supplies not Included:

    • Replacement/Upgraded Smoke Detectors/CO alarms

    • Replacement batteries of any kind

    • Replacement/Upgraded Fire Extinguishers

    • Replacement/Upgraded GFCI receptacles

    • Dryer duct transition hose/clamps/exhaust vents.

    Not a warranty: Guarantee is limited to the maintenance tasks specified in “Pit Stop Service Agreement” being completed in a professional manner.  In the areas and aspects of your home we are directly assessing, we may make a judgement regarding the condition of systems and components. However, our service is not a home warranty, appliance warranty, nor an insurance policy. We cannot predict the future and our judgements are simply professional opinions.

    Not an exhaustive home inspection: While Mr. ProActive strives to be strategically thorough in the services offered, there are components, systems and areas of your home that are beyond the scope of this agreement. We simply cannot service or check everything. Our services are not technically exhaustive. There may be deficiencies and unsafe conditions present that we will not discover. 

    We cannot eliminate all risk: Deficiencies may develop and create risk immediately after our service call. We can only affirm that a system is functional at the time it was inspected. There are also various home maintenance tasks that we do not perform and remain the responsibility of the homeowner. 

    Inspection may reveal latent deficiencies: The act of testing systems and components of your home may and sometimes does uncover latent deficiencies. Examples include but are not limited to: 

    • GFCI receptacles that trip but do not reset. 

    • Smoke detectors that fail to respond to the test and begin chirping. 

    • Inadequately fastened dryer ducts becoming detached in walls or attic space. 

    Partial List of things we are not reporting on or servicing:  Code or zoning violations, systems or component installation, permit research, structural, geological, soil, wave action or hydrological stability, survey, engineering, analysis or testing, termites or other wood destroying insects, rodents or other pests, dry-rot or fungus, latent or concealed defects, asbestos, radon gas, lead paint, urea formaldehyde, toxic or flammable chemicals, water or air quality, PCB's or other toxins, electromagnetic fields, underground storage tanks, proximity to toxic waste sites or other environmental or health hazards, private water or sewage systems, pools, spas, hot tubs, saunas, steam baths, fountains or other types of or related systems and components, radio controlled devices, Automatic gates, elevators, lifts, dumbwaiters, thermostatic or time clock controls,radiant heat systems, furnace heat exchanger, solar heating systems, gas appliances such as fire pits, barbecues, heaters and lamps, main gas shut off valve, odors or noise, seismic safety, freestanding appliances, security systems, personal property, any adverse condition that may affect the desirability of the property, unique/technically complex systems or components, system or component life expectancy, adequacy or efficiency of any system or component, discovering or reporting on the presence or absence or mold or mildew.  Furthermore, we are not responsible for any damages that arise from or related to mold or mildew, even if the mold or mildew is a direct consequence of a condition we intend to discover.

    Media Release: By signing this document, I hereby grant permission to Mr. ProActive to record media (photographic, video and audio) of my home and its systems or components for the purpose of documentation, training, or marketing purposes. I waive any right to inspect or approve the finished electronic matter now or in the future, whether or not the use of such media is known to me or not, and I waive any right to royalties or other compensation arising from or related to the use of the media.     .
